Food-For-Film Event 1998
On December 12, 1998, Fairview Centenniel Venturers, Rovers, and Adult Volunteers helped to collect food for Christmas baskets at the fouth annual Food-for-film event held at the Cineplex Odeon Pointe-Claire. This annual event, which was sponsored this time by the West Island Volunteer Bureau, The Chronicle, and Cineplex Odeon Pointe-Claire, encourages movie goers to pay for admission to films with non-perishable food items. The needy West Island families received not only the non-perishables, but also monetary donations which were collected during the event.
