The First Edition - bound by Little Brown, as a production sample prior to the actual production run. Glued to the rear free-endpaper is a printed notice stating: "SAMPLE Return to Manufacturing Department LITTLE BROWN AND COMPANY Published: 1/28,63 Cloth: GSB Silver Black, Word Count; 54,225. Four typographical errors in the text have been identified by an editor/proof reader in green pencil. These are indicated on the verso of the front fly leaf - marked: "Corrections / P.117 /p.159 /p.173 /p.185". Curiously only one error, " Seymour " for "Seymore" on p.173 was found & corrected. $17750
